MODULAR HOUSING SYSTEMS

Corrective Services Industries NSW is a long-term client of Klopf Constructions.

This project showcases the delivery of five modular housing systems in regional NSW – built for the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office.

The residences were built in sections or modules by inmates at St. Heliers Correctional Centre in Muswellbrook, under the supervision of trade qualified Overseers.

The sections were then craned onto trucks and delivered direct to site, where Klopf Constructions were responsible for landing and connecting the modules together to create one whole home, and completing the remaining building and landscaping works.

Klopf Constructions also worked closely with community groups and local land councils to engage local people and suppliers throughout the project, ensuring there were direct social and economic benefits for Moree, Goodooga and the surrounding areas.

This project was unique as the team managed limited access to suppliers and services, extensive travel to site, hazard removal, extreme weather conditions, and ensuring staff remained safe and protected from hazards, wildlife, and weather.

These projects demonstrate Klopf Constructions strong logistical and organisational standards that excel expectations of both the client and local community.

Since this project, Klopf Constructions has delivered modular housing systems in Inverell, Walgett and Narrabri.
